In California, the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB) tailors the cost of insurance to an employer’s individual performance.  It compares the performance of employers within the same industry classification.  The resulting experience modification factor (x-mod) is then applied in determining an employer’s final premium.  Many employers do not know the implications of a high experience modification factor or how to control their experience modification.  At ISU Bob Gabriel Company, we evaluate every client’s experience modification and consider the results when making recommendations.  We have extensive experience helping high experience modification clients improve their results.

Only employers with a payroll that produces a premium at the approved pure premium rate(s) of $16,700 or more are eligible for experience rating.
